February 27,2026- Friday

 I got to sleep in, go for a run, get ready all while Michael made me an amazing omelet with mushrooms, onions, peppers. It was great and felt so nice to have as much time to get ready as I wanted. I then went to school where all of my sewing classes went well. The second class was a little bit crazy... when it is a little crazy it just means that a lot of people need my help so they have to wait in turns until I can get to them. The last class was a little more open so Roslyn and one other in the class were able to start a new project of a crayon or colored pencil roll up.

After Friday school I hurried over to Chick-fil-a to pick up a platter to throw a retirement party for Pam who has worked for us for a number of years now. She has been a God send, she came right when things were so difficult for us and we felt like we were drowning and having so many problems with staff. We have felt so blessed to have her. The staff is all so good now and we feel so blessed to have each one of them. Jennifer is taking over for Pam and is amazing as well. The staff had all signed a card for me and got me the most beautiful flowers and then Donna even got me a HEB gift card.

The retirement party went well and then I got home went for a walk with Maebryn and Roslyn. Alden had already started on my pizza dinner. Michael came home and helped finish up the pizza and salad. We had a yummy salad and pizza and then went outside for a little while. After about an hour we came in for cake. Michael made me a raspberry chocolate cheesecake using coconut sugar. It was amazing! I got lots of yummy snacks and Michael gave me a trip to a mineral soak spring hear in Texas. It was a good day, we ended it by snuggling in bed while watching a couple of Psyche episodes. 

My favorite presents are the cards my kids make me and the sweet things they do. The kids all worked hard on making the house clean, even organizing some little areas. I am so grateful to them and their sweet spirits. Maebryn made me a huge stack of cards. Roslyn one nice one. Evan worked on his for quite a while and it looks very impressive. (a picture of two Macaw birds, he also is always so thoughtful in his words saying thank you for so much.) Benson made me a nice card as well with a couple of bird pictures he drew. Calvin at least made me one that said Happy Birthday so that was good and Alden is also very thoughtful in his words saying thanks for things I do.

The retirement party and the amazing staff we have right now. We are grateful for them.
