February 4, 2026- Wednesday- Rotan Honduras

 We woke up and went and ate breakfast at the buffet and then headed to exit the cruise ship. It was a little crazy getting off the ship as there were people everywhere wanting to give taxi rides or sell us something. We were able to find our tour guide who took us to his van to start our tour. We first went to the animal park. The kids really loved this. They first gave us each a guinea pig to hold and then we went into an enclosure with some sloths to try and find them. After looking for the sloths, which were all up high, we got to pet some sloths and see them up close. We then fed some green birds, we couldn't go in the enclosure with them due to it being mating season and they can be more aggressive. We did get to go into the enclosure with the Macaws and got to each hold one for a minute. Then their favorite part was going into the enclosure with some monkeys that climbed all over us. They grabbed my sun glasses and grabbed Roslyn's hat, put it on and passed it around but we got everything back.

After the animal park we all went snorkeling. It was beautiful to see the coral reef but it was different then I thought. You can't stand up so you are swimming the whole time, even if you could you are not suppose to. The Coral reef is sometimes up close and other times super deep. It was neat to look at but we all got stung by fire coral and it was hard to watch all of the kids while trying to look at the fish and coral. It wasn't my favorite experience due to all of those things but it was really neat and I am glad that I had the opportunity and that we did it.

We then went to a shop and to a chocolate factory where we bought things for people back at home.

After snorkeling we went to the beach and spent some time sitting on the beach and having the kids play in the sand. Our tour guide was very helpful and very nice.
