April 2, 2006- Thursday and My Grandma Gee's birthday and Roslyn's baptism
School was great. Really there have been so many miracles even with teaching at the school this year. Every time their is a class that starts to get a little difficult and starts to become a struggle, something changes and student's are moved around and there isn't a problem any more. I have come to really love and see each student more and more throughout the year. Serving really is a great way to come to love a people or a person. It was a great and beautiful day at the end of the day there was an Easter Egg hunt. Every child was given an egg carton and needed to find eggs with the letters to make the sentence. Jesus is Risen. Such a great way to do an Easter egg hunt.
When I came home my Mom had cleaned everything up and organized a number of little areas. Her and my Dad had also prepared dinner for us and Ron and Tara who came a little before 5:00. We then got everything ready for Roslyn's baptism. We were able to get all ready by 7:00 and it all worked out perfectly even though I worried their for a little bit. Tara gave the most beautiful opening prayer, then my Mom's talk was powerful. One thing she said was how my kids never complain but just go and do when asked to do something and how this will help them in following the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Roslyn was then baptized. It was neat to be the one there to help her, with the boys Michael always helped them get ready.
I then got to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. I focused on how Roslyn has already felt of the Holy Ghost often as it has testified of what is good and true and then said how the gift of the Holy Ghost makes it possible to have the that spirit with you always. I also spoke of how it is one of the gifts God has given us to help us become like him. Through baptism and this gift we are cleansed and can have the Spirit with us always. In God's presence the spirit of peace and love is overwhelmingly strong having that spirit helps us become just a little bit more like our Savior.
Also at Roslyn's baptism Evan played "When I am Baptized". He did a great job. Alden played the piano and Calvin lead the music and Grandpa (my Dad) said the closing prayer. It was a beautiful service.
Miracle was how everything came together an that we were able to do all and be all prepared in all that was needful in time for the baptism. Beautiful day.
