April 5, 2026 Easter Sunday and General Conference.

 Beautiful day. The kids were up early to find their baskets and then we all had granola cereal for breakfast. Afterwards we went for a walk, the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Before breakfast we read the Easter story in the Bible. Something that I think we should do each Easter just like we read the Christmas story faithfully every Easter.

The baskets were simple but I did also give them the magnatiles that the McKinney's had given us a while back, they really enjoyed playing with those. Conference was wonderful and it was nice to have a day at home with the family. I went and dropped off little Easter things to some of my ministering sisters between conferences and worked on taking in a dress afterwards...I now realize the importance of pinning. I took it in some but it wasn't nearly enough so I really took it in and now have a skin tight dress that I can hardly fit into...definitely a learning experience.

Tonight was the miracle- it was starting to get late so I debated about cleaning up and bath and everything else, but decided to have everyone do their kitchen chores and then told everyone to take a bath or shower and somehow doing those things got everyone calmed down to where they needed to be to go to bed and they all seemed to get to bed earlier than if we hadn't done them. I hope I can be better about these simple things that seem difficult at moments but actually make everything easier in the long run.
